Die Länderbahn CZ: Comprehensive Controlling Planning in the SAP Analytics Cloud Environment

We helped Die Länderbahn CZ s.r.o. simplify, streamline, and accelerate the processing of individual plans and reports by replacing Excel-based planning with a solution in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Die Länderbahn CZ s.r.o. faced a significant challenge in the area of controlling. All planning was carried out manually in Microsoft Excel using data exported from SAP. This approach was time-consuming, error-prone, and heavily reliant on a small team responsible for processing a large number of plans, forecasts, and reports to meet various internal and external requirements.

The planning process involved hundreds of revenue and expense accounts, dozens of cost centers, and multiple internal orders. It also required multilingual (Czech, English, German) and multi-currency (CZK, EUR) outputs.

Mibcon designed and implemented an innovative solution based on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), enabling Die Länderbahn CZ to transfer its complex controlling processes into a modern cloud environment.

A key benefit of the project was the introduction of a single source of truth and the automation of the entire planning and reporting process. The new solution allows users to compile and adjust budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans directly in SAC — including automatic forecast generation, version control, and control report creation.

The result is a major simplification and acceleration of planning processes, a significant reduction in error rates, and improved financial transparency across the company.
