Prague Airport: Migration of Data Warehouse and Planning System to SAP BW/4HANA

Reference Letiště Praha Mibcon

We have successfully completed a system modernization project for Prague Airport, a.s., which included the conversion of SAP BW to SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BPC to SAP BPC/4HANA.

Transformation of BI and Planning to the Modern SAP BW/4HANA Platform

Our company successfully delivered a project for Prague Airport that focused on migrating its SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) systems to the modern SAP BW/4HANA platform. The objective was to replace the legacy solution based on the Oracle 19 database and ensure full system functionality consistent with the original environment.

The project not only enhanced system performance and stability but also created a strong foundation for further data architecture development and for the upcoming transition from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA.

This complex migration involved designing an optimal strategy, performing a shell conversion, and transferring all relevant data and planning processes into the new environment. With the implementation of the SAP HANA database, Prague Airport now benefits from faster system response times, streamlined data flows, and improved data management capabilities for business users.

At the same time, the environment was modernized and optimized, enabling seamless integration with other systems such as Microsoft Power BI.

As the next step, Prague Airport is partnering with us on the migration of SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA and the implementation of new extractors within the S/4HANA landscape.
