- SAP S/4HANA Cloud ∙
We have delivered a data architecture modernization project for HP TRONIC Zlín, transitioning from SAP BW to the cloud-based SAP Datasphere platform. The initiative increased data flexibility, simplified integrations, and established a solid foundation for the further development of reporting and analytics capabilities.
The starting point of the project with our long-term customer was the need to respond to the evolving data landscape built on a legacy SAP BW environment with a high level of customization and strong dependency on specific logic and complex ETL layers. As requirements for data availability, speed of change, and integration of new data sources increased, the original architecture became less flexible and more costly to maintain and develop. The strategic objective was therefore to establish a modern, open data platform that would enable faster responses to business needs and facilitate greater involvement of internal teams in data-driven activities.
The solution was based on migrating the data warehouse to the SAP Datasphere environment, supported by a transitional SAP BW Bridge layer. A key component of the project was the reimplementation of existing logic and transformations into a modern SQL-first approach, reducing reliance on proprietary technologies and simplifying future development. The architecture enables both full and incremental data transfers from SAP S/4HANA while simultaneously integrating data from additional systems without the need for complex ETL processes.
The outcome of the project is a forward-looking data architecture that simplifies data management, accelerates reporting, and creates a solid foundation for new analytical scenarios. The separation of data domains by application area improves transparency and data governance, while direct connectivity to tools such as Power BI enables fast and efficient access to information for business users. The new platform also establishes the technological foundation for the future adoption of advanced analytics and AI capabilities across the organization.
